The Honda Fit has been one of the best little cars on the market for several years now. It's cheap, super practical and good to drive. More power would only make it better. Will the 2015 Honda Fit finally bring a hot hatch back to the Honda lineup? Probably not at first.
According to specs for the Japanese market Fit, the fastest Fit will have a 1.5-liter VTEC four with 132 horses and 114 ft.-lbs. of torque. That's not a big jump from the 117 horsepower in the current car, but it's still 15 more horses it didn't have before so we'll take it.
In Japan, the Fit will be available as a hybrid and with all-wheel drive on gas-only versions. We're not getting either of those, though. The Fit-based Vezel crossover (the name is changing for the U.S.) is getting an AWD option, according to Automotive Newsand may get a turbocharged version of the 1.5-liter down the road. Cross your fingers that ends up in a Fit Si soon.
